Education
Rembrandt (1977) graduated Cum Laude from the Royal Conservatoire where he obtained his masters'degree.
In 2003 Rembrandt studied in New York with Kenny Barron and Mike leDonne.
(the "fund for excelling young musicians” has given Rembrandt this scholarship)

In 2001 Dutch national television (AVRO) followed Rembrandt intensively for three weeks, resulting in a documentary about the conservatory's most outstanding students

Rembrandt now works as Hoofdvak-Jazz Piano teacher at the conservatory of Tilburg
and as a guest teacher at the conservatory of Rotterdam.

Prizes and Awards
Rembrandt was finalist in the prestigious Deloitte Jazz Award 2007.
the Jazz orchestra of the Concertgebouw played two compositions written by him.
His debut-album "Self portait" was nominated for the Edison award 2007 by the public
and the readers of Jazzism magazine

Rembrandt won the Bluenote-records festival jazz-award 2nd price in 2006 With his "Rembrandt Jazz trio" he was nominated for the VSB-jazz award 2000

International Experiences
For a period of two years he worked in Cairo, Egypt.
In 2004 was Rembrandt was asked to be a member of the prestigious
European Jazz Youth Orchestra. Brazilian composer Hermeto Pascoal wrote especially for this ensemble. The orchestra was on tour in Europe and Brazil.

In 2002 Rembrandt represented the Netherlands at the international IASJ- jazzmeeting in Helsinki, Finland.

Concerts
Rembrandt played together with American saxofonist Michael Brecker in 2003
In 2006 Rembrandt was the musical producer and Pianist of a project with Joop    Braakhekke, Paul fagel and other top chefs-de-cuisine's.( HYPERLINK "http://www.cape-culinair.nl" \t "_blank" www.cape-culinair.nl)

Rembrandt works with actor-painter-dancer-singer Niels Brandaan Rembrandt writes the music to Niels' plays and perfomances.

He composed music for the theatre play:"HAM", performed by Drang theater.

* Hotels van Oranje "Sunday afternoon jazz";swinging pianojazztrio's at the beach
* Regentenkamer "muziek met een praatje"; lectures and recitals
* Jazz at Waterfront (Schouwburg Almere); concerts with great food!

He worked with:Toon Roos, Benjamin Herman, Ferdinand Povel, Jim mcNeely, Jesse van Ruller, Henk Meutgeert, Lydia van Dam, Jasper Blom, Hans Mantel, Jan  Menu, Fay Claassen, Martijn van Iterson, Jerry van Rooijen, Ack van Rooijen, John  Engels, Ben van den Dungen, Jarmo Hoogendijk, Sjoerd Dijkhuizen, Johan Plomp, Joris  Teepe, Ed Verhoeff, Tom Beek, Deborah Carter, Stefan Lievestro and many others..
